THE400 MINI, a recreation of the pioneering home computer that first appeared in 1979, will be launching worldwide on 28th March 2024 and is now available to pre-order for $119.99 / £99.99 €119.99. THEMINI 400 comes with 25 classic Atari games pre-installed, including all-time greats such as Berzerk, Lee, Millipede, Miner 2049er, M.U.L.E. and Star Raiders II.
THE400 MINI has been lovingly crafted with an eye for authenticity, matching the hard-to-match colors of the original, and the authentic textures of the plastic casing and membrane keyboard.
THE400 MINI is half-sized version of the distinctively styled Atari 400, and is compatible with games made for the 8-bit range of Atari computers, from the 400 to the 800XL, as well as the Atari 5200 home console. Included is a recreation of the Atari CX40 joystick, with an additional seven integrated function buttons. Players can side-load their own games via a USB stick, with support for cartridge, disk and cassette ROMs. Modern enhancements include the ability to rewind and save games, HD TV output via HDMI with 50/60Hz compatibility, and five USB ports which allow for the addition of a modern keyboard, extra joysticks and more.
