We’re back and bigger than ever.
This isn’t your typical camp with bugs and sunburns — this is an all-digital experience that anyone can join from anywhere in the world! Get ready for a summer filled with games, competitions, exclusive merchandise, exciting events, and amazing partnerships.
A Brief History
The Atari Summer Camp is inspired by the Atari Computer Camps for aspiring programmers that Atari operated in the 1980s. The camps blended a comprehensive computer education and programming curriculum with a more traditional camp experience including social activities, sports, swimming, music and arts.

Important Camper Information
We’ve divided the next eight weeks of summer into four themed sessions. Each session comes with a fresh drop of new merch — which will remain available until the end of camp.
SIGN UP FOR CAMP and follow along in Discord or on X (previously Twitter) to participate in competitions and events. The Desktop will help to provide information you need for camp.
The Atari Summer Camp experience is designed to be enjoyed from the location of your choosing. Please be vigilant as you participate in activities by using sunscreen, eye protection, and high visibility clothing when required. Atari is not responsible for any type of incident related to Summer Camp, because it is not a real place.
The Desktop
Once you’re in the Desktop environment, you will find various icons and sections representing different parts of the camp.
Camp Map: Why is it only a portion of the camp? What will be revealed?

JULY 8TH — ORIENTATION
Welcome to camp! During orientation we’re throwing it back to the “computer” in Computer Camp.
It’s time to level up your learning with a 1-month free trial of Codecademy Pro. You’ll unlock access to over 600 courses and guided paths — plus personalized practice, real-world projects, and more. Get hands-on experience working with popular game development languages like C++, JavaScript, and Lua, learn how to build your own web apps, and much more.
JULY 22ND — THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Take touching grass to the next level — touch trees, dirt, and maybe even some bugs. Just be sure to wash your hands afterwards. Get ready for a scavenger hunt and more adventures.
Be sure to keep an eye out on Atari X because we’re coming back for our second year with Onchain Summer with Coinbase.
AUG 5TH — FUN IN THE SUN
Close your eyes and imagine an idyllic beach. The sand is soft and warm on your feet. You can hear waves lapping gently on the shore as a slight breeze gently kisses your face. Wake up! There’s a volleyball headed straight for your head.
Just when you think we’ve reached the max on fun, we’ll jump on the boat with Atari X and take a trip to Nifty Island.
AUG 19TH — ’83 CAMP CHAMP
This is the part of every summer camp movie when an unlikely hero digs deep (emotionally and physically) to win the day as inspiring music swells. We have EVEN MORE competitions, events and activities. And with our final merch drop rounding off the series, by now you’ll really look the part.
To wrap up the summer of fun — load up the bus peeps— we’re going on a field trip!
