ATCEMS Recruiting Celebrates Grads, Cadets, and Recruiting Season
On September 28th, ATCEMS’ 0818 Cadet Class was sworn in as the newest additions to our Medic family. The three graduates will be joining our Communications Division, serving as our department’s first, first responders. Providing life-saving instructions, practicing clinical skills over the phone, and being a sense of calm in chaos, is not something our Medics take lightly. They began their morning with the traditional 3 mile run around Town Lake, and were later pinned with their public service badge, sworn in, and celebrated by family, friends, and other department staff.
Congratulations to C.Brown, M.Benefield, and D.Michaelsen!
October 1st kicked off one of our largest academies — Cadet Class 1018 is made up of 30 Field cadets and 4 Comm cadets! Our academy staff facilitates PT, skills testing, clinical scenarios, lectures, written exams, and more. Our Field cadets will go through a 10-week academy, while our Comm cadets go through an 8-week academy. We hope to see all 34 cadets walk across that stage at graduation in December.
Good luck, everyone!
