Coronavirus — A Virus that Changed our Lives

WHAT IS COVID-19?

The COVID-19 is a group of viruses that can cause an extent of illnesses in human beings comprising of common cold and more severe forms like MERS & SARS which’re hazardous to life. The naming of the virus is done based on its shape, which looks like a crown with protrusions encircling it and therefore is called as coronavirus.

The WHO (World Health Organization) has annunciated it as Global Pandemic, originated from Wuhan, China.

Being the second most populated nation in the world, India is also affected by this virus, along with the other nations. Its negative impact will be so strong on Indian economy as compared to other countries because India was just came out of demonetization phase and economy was getting stable and again it lost its balance.

Even FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) said after conducting the survey that, until and unless an economic package declared by the govt., there could be a permanent loss of large scale of industries, which couldn’t come back to track again. It doesn’t need an economist to annunciate that India may runaway from recession but this virus will slowdown nations growth, as this seems to be the ECONOMIC TSUNAMI. Many countries are falling into the recession because of coronavirus, the share market is falling down and there’s a huge impairment in the global income of the country. The economy is getting worst day by day and peoples are confronting many other issues.

It not only affects the economy but our lives as well. Basically, we’re at the commencement of the end and waiting for a new and fresh start. Habits and values will alter our lives and our residences will also alter under that influence.

CHANGES IN OUR LIVES:

1. HOME AS OUR MODERN OFFICE

Amid quarantine time, number of employees are pushed to ‘work from home’. The probability are high that after lockdown, many of employees will not be willing to go back to office, as they will become very much habitual of their home office.

2. GARDEN AT HOME

It was fancy or decorative to start small gardens on balconies or roof, but this is the most demanding time for everyone to start gardening at home as it will give you pleasant experience of eating what you sow.

3. HOUSES OVER LUXURY APARTMENTS

Skyscrapers and Multi-storey buildings were constructed to shelter as many people as possible in one place, at the time when hygiene and health were not into consideration and isolation were not in the act. But in future, people will prefer separate houses as this would be safer option in terms of self-isolating.

4. NEOTERIC RELIGIOUS WORSHIP

Religion at the time of quarantine will dare conceptions of what it means to preachers and followers, coronavirus has impacted religion in several ways, consisting of closure of entrance to religious places, cancellation of religious, practices in multitude and other festivities.

5. TRAVEL & TOURISM

As per the World Travel & Tourism Council, it could take upto 10 months to comeback to industry. Also, this could cut million jobs in travel and tourism industry.

6. REDEFINED EDUCATION SYSTEM

According to present condition of the India and other countries, there’s a huge uncertainty on when schools and colleges will reopen. Technology may act as an ideal option like study at home and will lead to adoption of online teaching and learning methods like E-Learning

As there’s no medication to fight this virus right now, so we require smart solutions to detract the impact of coronavirus, like

• Turn normal life to digitalized life

• Add taste to Virtual Reality in life

• No tax evasion as govt. need more revenue

• Adopt robots to do deliveries, which is safer and contactless option now

• Stronger domestic supply chain
