Mantras are compelling sound vibrations which’re competent of remodeling energy at every lvls of the cosmos. They influence subconscious and mental planes of mindfulness and reach subconscious lvl where our karmic models are saved. The recitation of mantra boosts concentration, retention, cleans our heart & aids eradicate the consequences of preceding karma. Exact reciting of mantras & hymns assists invoking the latent energy within us & can favor in all aspect of life.

The most significant information you must know is, mantras you’re reciting or chant you’re singing — precise pronunciation is a key. Yes, we’ll have several pitches — that’s not a issue — but, mispronunciation alters the purpose and invalidates the very result you wished!

Taittiriya Upanishad shows six details of utterance with respect to Vedic mantras:

  • Swara or tone of each syllable
  • Varna or characters (or in generic syllable)
  • Balama or stress on all syllables
  • Maatra or continuation of reciting each syllable
  • Santana or flow in pronouncing
  • Saama or stability of chanting (tune of complete mantra)

Blunders and their Consequences: Still if we aren’t specialists and haven’t learned from a guru, we should be attentive to above-mentioned points, when we recite mantras or do kirtan. Errors in reciting can create a deep spectrum of dilemmas — from simply nullifying its impact, to formulating negating karma or emotional and physical imbalances, a few of which could be extremely harmful to us.
