FUD OR BUILD?
It was one year ago today that we received quite a surprise by being featured on the cover of Crain’s Chicago Business. The price of bitcoin on that day was fast approaching new highs of $10K per coin and the market even went beyond in the ensuing two months. Since the highs of $19,500 achieved on 12–17–2017 there has been a dramatic pullback and in the recent week has pulled back to $3500 per bitcoin.
This recent price action and FUD leaves many uncertain of the future of cryptocurrency.
We believe that we are just getting started and that’s why in the last year Athena has built new business’ and expanded operations.
We continue to build.
We are dreamers and doers of what can be; we are believers in the revolutionary blockchain technology. In the past year we have increased our headcount 100% and now employ over 20 people in the Western Hemisphere.
We have built Latin American operations in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and we are entering Chile next week. Our Director Matias A. Goldenhörn and his teams have worked tirelessly to bring easy #cryptocurrency access to those south of our borders.
We built a co-working space Athena Trade here in #Chicago as a watering hole for crypto companies and enthusiasts.
On August 27th, 2018 we were proud to announce the creation of Athena Blockchain with world class professionals & co-founders David Valentine & Drew Hinkes to democratize Investment Funding. Our co-founder Eric Gravengaard published a well regarded piece on October 1st on Medium “Toward a more perfect Security Token”

We are traveling the globe meeting new people who are interested in the promising new blockchain technology. We continue looking for new opportunities & markets to penetrate, and will remain evangelists of cryptocurrency.
