Conservatives want to give tax cuts to the filthiest and richest and most powerful while those without power struggle to find jobs, get shit for tax breaks, are refused medicine (FUCKIN’ MEDICINE!), and have to endure overt racism, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and more, all the while being told that we can’t get anything done unless we’re calm about it. Well, if you can be calm, good for you, but to us, it feels tough to be affective as passive when the opposition is holding an AR-15 to your face.

Conservatives are not being coy, they are shitting down our throats, and we’re told to say, “While I respect your right to fill my stomach with fecal matter, here’s what I don’t like about it.” If we keep eating shit, they’re going to keep feeding it to us. Period.

We know things are bad, and while understanding and handshaking and placating to the other side is the right course of action for some, that’s not our style. The system is rigged. White supremacy is normal. People are dying because they’re refused medical care. Minorities are thrown in cages, the specific targets of a police state. Industries are being automated. You’re either a Christian or morally stunted. If you don’t stand for the National Anthem, you get death threats.

Fuck that.

Meanwhile, the wealthiest receive the best food, the cleanest water, the biggest tax breaks, the most time off, the best medical care, the securest households, and the most political influence. Almost without exception, they got to where they are because of privilege initially, and then, when they were kind of rich, they got to sit at the tables where you get even richer. And even if elbow grease was a major part of it, it shouldn’t matter. Even if they earned it, it shouldn’t matter. We live in a society where we applaud those who sit in ivory towers with their backs turned away from the sea of desperate people, sipping Kopi Luwak while servants go down on them.

Fuck that.

We have the most awesome communication force imaginable that makes cable TV look like a cave painting, and millennials, for the most part, control it. We are the “users.” Without us, the internet would not exist. It would have been dead upon arrival. And even if it brings people together in order to fight each other, it still brings us all together. If we can control the mightiest force in the history of human communication, what can we do with it? What can’t we do with it?

Anyway, Renee and I of Eat the Rich podcast don’t want to literally murder rich people and eat their flesh, we want to kill filthy richness, and as you’ll soon find out, that does not mean the end to ambition, it means the end to needless desperation.

Basically, let’s stand outside their windows holding a fork and knife, handkerchiefs tucked into our collars, and stare at them while we lick our lips.

Let’s demand equal pay, education, and opportunity. Let’s demand basic income, healthcare, and decency. We deserve it. Don’t let anyone EVER tell you that you don’t deserve it.

You do. No matter who you are, you deserve to not feel desperate anymore. (Unless you’re filthy rich, in which case, we’re going to eat you.)

So, you in??

Awesome!

All you have to do is tune in, listen to Renee (certified badass, Women and Gender Studies MFA grad, extremely well read, way smarter than me) and guests educate me (and you) on what we can do to change the system, and then go do those things, be it online, offline, on the phone, or in person.

Progressive thinkers are the majority. We can even the playing field. We are stronger than you think we are. Even with Trump, Pence, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and other Klansmen in power and in the pockets of the very people from whom we demand accountability, we are still stronger.

Join us.

Let’s build our network.

Let’s eat the rich. Together.
