From an idea to a reality in under three months: Cakewalk Sweets, Coffee & Gifts is now open for business
Originally from Atlanta, Jennifer Mitchell, owner of Cakewalk, moved to Athens from Tampa, Florida when her daughter chose to attend the University of Georgia after high school. Mitchell decided to pursue her passion of owning a business by combining her love of sweets and making people happy and opening a sweets shop located on Milledge Avenue.
Mitchell came up with the business idea in October of 2017 and quickly got ready to open the doors in the early months of 2018. Cakewalk Sweets, Coffee & Gifts opened its doors on January 16, 2018.
