First look: Prototype One
Design for prototype one is nearing completion and we have enough details on the looks to share with you. It is still the same 3-wheeled architecture but now the experience with P0 has taught us better on how the internal components and sensors will be placed. This particular model will support a payload capacity of 500kgs and the same 200km range.
The payload area is going to be flat for easy loading and unloading from the sides. A forklift should find this to be a good companion.
The loading area will also allow easy snap-on custom modules — say a storage with a lock, or a refrigerator (which can draw power from the vehicle), or a garbage compactor or even thermal imaging cameras for security or inspections. This is primarily a cargo vehicle but now has the capabilities to be a mobile autonomous platform.
