On February 21st, in collaboration with OGC and Havard Blockchain Club, we were invited to present at Havard, with more than 250 crypto and blockchain enthusiasts attending.

The event was a huge success, drawing enthusiastic students and developers in Harvard and MIT that are interested in blockchain, along with people in the blockchain industry and investment community.

Along with the main event, Atlas also attended the annual blockchain conference organized by the Harvard Business School Blockchain and Crypto Club on Feb 23, 2019. (https://blockchain-hbsclub.com/blockchain-conference/)

During the day, our CEO, Zan Wu, was invited to speak, mentioning “it is great to be in Harvard to present Atlas, in association with OGC capital and other great portfolio companies and ecosystem partners such as Ontology and Contentos.”

Zan went onto explain: “ The travel industry is one of the biggest but most centralized industries in the world, monopolized currently by big internet platforms. Atlas aims to build a blockchain-based travel content and transaction platform that removes the inefficiency of the middle-men. It connects all consumers and suppliers in the travel industry to a decentralized market place that incentivizes content creation, transactions, and consent-based data-sharing, ultimately contributing towards invigorating the entire value chain in the travel industry through a transparent and fairer ecosystem.”

“Atlas has benefited from the extensive existing connections and working relationships in the travel industry the team has built in the past 7 years and hotel channel management systems integrations that have already been completed. As a tried-and-tested entrepreneurial team who has built real App product and successful business in the travel industry with the backing of a prominent investor like Tencent in the “traditional internet business”, is what set this team and project apart as well. “

In terms of an update, Zan mentioned that “ Atlas has announced a strategic partnership with Kakao’s blockchain subsidiary, Ground X, and its blockchain platform Klaytn. Kakao is South Korea’s biggest internet company (US$8Bn market cap, more than 50MM monthly active users) and owns the Korean version of Facebook, WhatsApp, Uber, Foodpanda, etc. Atlas will be the exclusive initial travel DApp partner on the Kakao blockchain Klaytn.”

“Atlas will also soon announce a detailed partnership with the Ontology ecosystem. We have received a strategic investment from OGC as well”.
