There’s no shortage of people who claim they will do whatever it takes to lose weight, but when it comes to actually doing things that are boring or uncomfortable (but effective), they never last.

The key is to keep playing the game until you learn to love it.

I didn’t love tracking my calories and macros when I first started, but now I can’t imagine not doing it because it tells me so much about my state of nutrition and overall health.

I often say if I could only keep one app on my phone (besides text messages), it would be MyFitnessPal.

I’ll admit, that I am a bit extreme regarding tracking, but I love the process.

And that’s the takeaway.

When you get more excited about the process than the goal and you can stay that way, you know you’re on the right track, and achieving the goal is only a matter of time.
