My Biggest Goal in Life

My biggest goal is to achieve financial independence.

I’ve been thinking about this goal for a long time. Since age 19 or 20, maybe even earlier.

I still think about it almost every day.

I think about my typical weekday and what that would look like.

I’d wake up without an alarm after a full 8 hours of sleep, well-rested and feeling amazing.

Then, I’d have the freedom to work or not work.

If I work, I’d decide what to work on.

In addition to what I do, all aspects of my work life would be self-directed. I’d decide who I work with, when I work, etc.

If I choose not to work, I’d spend time with my family, exercise in the middle of the day, read a book, learn a new skill, or watch a movie.

Some people might say, “What’s to stop you from living this lifestyle now?”

My honest answer is that I wouldn’t be able to provide for my family if I did this.

I’ve made some money online, so I’m confident that I can get there, but not nearly enough at this time.

Since I am extremely risk averse, my ideal situation is to have enough passive income coming in so that I don’t have to rely on any type of “work”…
