What Does It Feel Like to Be an Introvert?
I’ve read that anywhere from one-third to one-half of the world’s population is introverted.
This is a lot of people.
There are varying degrees of introversion.
I’m more on the extreme end of the spectrum and I’m okay with that.
Being an introvert comes with mixed emotions. You will face isolation and discomfort, but also relief and joy.
Sometimes, it feels like you’re in the minority.
Like everyone wants to go out and do “fun” things and you don’t. This can be difficult, especially if most of your friends and family are extroverted.
You might feel like something is wrong with you, but the truth is there are plenty of other people who feel the same way.
You just never got to know them.
Sometimes, it feels lonely.
There is a common misconception that introverts always want to be alone.
Introverts do get lonely, but it’s a weird kind of loneliness.
It’s a stubborn void that you can’t fill with just anyone.
