This cliche advice is often seen on Medium and everywhere in the self-development world.

Be Consistent and you will succeed

When I started trying to improve my life, I thought being consistent was enough Most of the writers here will tell you that if you can just show up and write consistently you’ll win.

It’s not that simple. If it were only about showing up every day — growing and achieving things in life would be so much easier.

You’ll start growing when you realize that growth comes from improvement. If you will improve to the better every day — you’ll grow.

The lie they are telling you

They are talking about consistency :

Consistency is all you need to succeed”

But what does this mean?

Does Repeating the same actions over and over again lead you to success?

No.

Repeating the same actions over and over again will lead to a plateau.

Growth happens only when you are trying to build on something you already have.
