Why I’m Ditching Pinterest (For Now)
It’s not fitting with my motto.
I have 2 main goals:
- Make money from my side hustle. (I’m on the road to $5k per month!)
- Have fun doing it.
While I know there’s a lot of potential with Pinterest, it’s not fitting in with the motto I’ve adopted:
“If it ain’t fun, I’m not doing it!”
Whenever I think of going in and creating pins, descriptions, and links for each of my Medium articles, I get a little pit in my stomach.
It’s not hard to do, but I’m not enjoying it.
It’s weird because I love Pinterest.
I love going there and looking at recipes and beautiful kitchens, but I don’t love it for my side hustle. I may return to it someday, but I’m shelving it for now.
However, you don’t have to follow in my footsteps. I highly recommend trying it for yourself and seeing if it works for you.
There are 498 million active users on Pinterest each month. That’s a lot, and a great opportunity to filter some of that traffic to your website, or your Medium articles.
(And if you want to try it out for your Medium articles, I have a simple 4-step guide here.)
Find what’s sustainable (and fun) for you!
Do you use currently use Pinterest? If so, does it work well for you?
