Name changes

Looking for something? We’ve introduced some package name changes for better consistency and a more intuitive experience, like renaming `@activeviam/activeui-sdk` to `@activeviam/atoti-ui-sdk`. Visit our migration guide for a list of changes.

Similarly, we’ve streamlined the naming of each tab available in our Data Model pane, removing the redundant word “editor” from the hover over, and have renamed `Content Editor` to `Fields`.

Pages

Ever tried to switch to a different dashboard page and instead found it accidentally deleted? We heard you, and we’ve removed the offending x on the Page tabs. Now, to delete a page (or to rename it, or duplicate it!), right click on the Page to reveal your page options.

Command palette

Imagine having all your keyboard shortcuts at your fingertips with a simple keystroke. With our new command palette, you can. This feature is a game-changer for power users who prefer keyboard navigation over using a mouse, and it’s a fantastic learning tool for beginners. Now, you can effortlessly find the command you need without breaking your flow. You can try it yourself by simply using the shortcut `Alt`+`q`.

Chart drilldown

Next, we’ve introduced Chart Drilldown. Similar to how one can drill down in a a pivot table, this feature allows you to drill down into your charts for more detailed insights. Select `Drill down` and use it to navigate deeper into your data, perhaps to investigate why an outlier is an outlier. It’s like peeling back the layers of an onion to get to the heart of your data!

Query editor update

For those who work with MDX queries, we’ve made a significant improvement. Now, when the query editor is open and you’re adding fields, the MDX query will update in real-time. This instant feedback helps you understand the impact of your changes immediately.

Collapsible widget ribbon

We’ve brought back the widget ribbon/panel, and this time it’s collapsible! This feature is a nod to our users who enjoyed the experience in version 5.0. It’s much easier than constantly navigating to the insert menu, providing a more streamlined and user-friendly interface.
