Two weeks ago the Atra Blockchain Services team launched our beta platform. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s happening next for Atra.

The Low-Down

THE BETA IS LIVE

We are SO excited that our beta is out and about on the Ethereum Rinkeby Testnet. In just one week, we’ve gained a serious amount of positive feedback. We’ve seen over 1000 users visit the Atra Platform and nearly 100 users create accounts and start building, with only 3 bug reports.

CONSUMER FIRST

In just two weeks, we’ve discovered just how grand the opportunity is to grow blockchain adoption from the consumer up. We’re finding that our tool is a great way to learn how applied blockchain technology works with the end consumer by allowing hardcore hobbyists and those new to the blockchain space alike to create and share decentralized applications with their peers. This will foster growth and interest in the space.

FOUNDERS LIVE

Last week, we participated in the Founder’s Live competition in Seattle. Hannah gave a 99 second pitch about Atra which was very well received by the community.

WTIA-MAZING

In other good news, we were also chosen as members of the Washington Technology Industry Association’s 2nd Founder Cohort. 24 startups local to Seattle were chosen for the group, as part of the WTIA Startup Club, to give support and guidance to entrepreneurs in Washington’s booming tech industry. Thanks again to the WTIA for the amazing opportunity!

THE FIRST MOBILE-FRIENDLY DAPP

Our platform has been mobile friendly since day 1 allowing you to deploy smart contracts in the palm of your hands. However, now you can also interact with your smart contracts thanks to the Status Mobile Wallet. Download the Status beta from Apple’s Test Flight, and in ‘Advanced Settings’, switch your network to the Ethereum Rinkeby Testnet. Now Atra’s LiteUI service has both Desktop and Mobile support!

Up and Coming:

UX IMPROVEMENTS

If we’re on a mission to make blockchain development easy, we aren’t letting anything fall behind whether on the backend or user experience. We’ll be taking initial user feedback and making UX improvements in the coming month to support the better organization of dApps and projects.

PNW BLOCKCHAIN PRESENTS: PLATFORM RUMBLE

With so many different Smart Contract Platforms to choose from, how can interested developers tell where to get started? *Hint: Atra*

Join PNW Blockchain for a panel where representatives of your favorite platforms will answer questions about why developers should #buidl on their platform!

Dillon from Atra will be on the panel. Find more details here: https://bit.ly/2PxLWx8

SEATTLE DEVELOPER WEEKEND

We will be hosting a partner event with the UW Blockchain Society during the Seattle Developer Weekend May 30–31. Details TBD, but we will announce more info on our Twitter!

FEATURED DAPPS

We will be adding an explore experience to our site where users can browse and use dApps made on the Atra platform. We will announce as these pages go live, but upon launching we encourage you to explore the dApps being made by our users. We aim to help foster the growth and understanding of decentralized applications, and inspire others to try building.
