Celebrating Cardano: An Evening at the San Jac Saloon - Austin, Texas
Last week, while the world was focused on the grand stage of the Consensus event, a passionate subset of the cryptocurrency community gathered at the historic San Jac Saloon in Austin, Texas. This intimate satellite event, dedicated to Cardano enthusiasts, was a memorable evening filled with insightful discussions, mouthwatering food, and a celebration of innovation.
Our event was a special occasion aimed at fostering community spirit among Cardano supporters. The evening was designed to provide a platform for discussing the latest developments in the Cardano ecosystem, with a particular focus on our new incentivized testnet for ‘Atrium Profiles’ as well and our ‘soon on mainnet’ innovation — ‘Staking Baskets’.
As attendees mingled and shared ideas, they were treated to a classic Texas BBQ buffet that perfectly complemented the rustic charm of the San Jac Saloon. The spread featured succulent brisket and flavourful chicken wings, embodying the hearty and welcoming spirit of Texan hospitality.
To add a special touch to the evening, each guest received a goodie bag packed with thoughtful items. Among the gifts were Moleskine notebooks, perfect for jotting down notes and ideas sparked by the evening’s discussions, and 3D souvenir coins, serving as a keepsake to remember this gathering of minds and hearts.
The highlight of the night was the deep dive into Cardano’s future, particularly the incentivized testnet for ‘Atrium Profiles’. This testnet represents a significant step forward, and we are excited to finally release it into the wild. Discussions around ‘Staking Baskets’ also sparked great interest, as this concept promises to offer more opportunity for small pools and strengthen the decentralisation of the Cardano ecosystem.
