Congratulations to the 50 pools that successfully managed to attract the ADA voting power needed to make it into Cardano’s first-ever Staking Basket!

My pool made it! Now what?
Amazing! Congratulations! As I’m sure you are aware, the Diffusion Testnet Staking Basket has been running for nearly a year now with great success. Shortly, the Testnet phase will be coming to a close as we transition onto mainnet, where your Stake Pool will be included in the live Diffusion Staking Basket. We have created a channel inside the Âtrium Discord server, which you will be invited to shortly. Here you’ll find all the other pools in the Diffusion Basket so you can all stay in touch. We encourage all selected pools to join our Discord to stay up to date.
The Diffusion Basket will start with all 50 stake pools. We’ve had such great support from all candidates and preview basket SPOs, it doesn’t feel right having some stake pools that were selected by the community possibly not get any delegation from the Basket!

We’ll also be hosting a Discord Diffusion AMA on Tuesday Feb. 18th at 16h UTC where we explain everything Diffusion related, and answer all your questions. And on Wednesday 19th we’ll host a public X Space to introduce the winning Diffusion pools to the public and answer questions. We encourage all Diffusion SPOs to join if they are able, and to have any questions ready!
We have also created another contact form to obtain your latest contact details. We have your email and contact information from your original application, however we wanted to provide an additional opportunity to submit your latest information, just in case anything changed since.
We will be in touch if we need anything specific from you, but in general, all you need to do is sit back and wait for Âtrium.io to launch on mainnet. Please make sure to stay in compliance with the Diffusion Basket conditions to be eligible for inclusion. You can find them in this article under “SPO application requirements”. The amount of delegated stake to your pool is not under your control of course, and can change. When in doubt, feel free to get in touch with us!
My pool didn’t make it.
Commiserations to unselected pools, we are very grateful for your application and support over the last few years and are very sorry we couldn’t include you in this selection. However do not be disheartened, the Staking Baskets ecosystem will expand in the future with other Baskets coming online in the future. Also, whilst this vote was determined by ADA voting power, in the future Âtma DAO token holders will be able to propose and vote on the composition of Diffusion. We also have ‘POI’ launching soon, profile staking, so do stay in touch as there are still a lot of exciting things for you to get involved in.
So, Âtma? / Âtrium? / Diffusion? — How does this all work?
The project has grown significantly over the past few years with a lot of time and thought put into establishing a system that makes sense, working to the benefit of the end users. So let us give you a quick TLDR to summarise a few key points before the official Âtma DAO lite paper is released.
Âtrium
Âtrium is a centralised platform owned and maintained by Âtrium</Lab>. This platform is a front-end for Cardano, which connects the products, services, teams, users and content producers into one social ecosystem designed with Cardano at its heart. Âtrium has built a UI to access the Staking Baskets, Profiles and POI ecosystem.
Âtma DAO
The Âtma DAO has released three innovative smart contract systems, ‘Staking Baskets’, ‘Stoa’ and ‘Stoa Staking’. All of which are soon to be open-sourced for public scrutiny and use.
Three products have been developed using these smart contracts which encourage participation and reward engagement, called ‘Diffusion’, ‘Profiles’ and ‘POI’. The DAO owns these products, with proceeds going to the DAO treasury.
Diffusion
Diffusion is owned by Âtma DAO. On top of your regular staking rewards, it rewards Diffusion Basket token holders with Âtma DAO tokens. You simply sign up to receive Âtma tokens, and they can be claimed every epoch or you let them accumulate for a longer period. Âtma token holders can use their Âtma to decide treasury allocation, governance decisions, the creation of new Staking Baskets, and also the pool composition of Diffusion. Âtma token holders can also use POI to stake their Âtma to Profiles, boosting the Profile visibility whilst generating staking rewards for both the Profile owner and the staker.
Summary
Mainnet is coming in the next few months, and with it, we need all the support we can get in launching Atrium and Diffusion into the world. Diffusion is the first ever Staking Basket, and offers compelling alternative use cases compared to Native Staking, without wanting to replace it. It’s a product that does good for the Stake pool ecosystem, and as more Staking Baskets come online, we hope to see delegation spread further across the network and supporting small pools.
