Today we are excited to welcome two new faces to our team at #AtTheTable—our interns, Allison and Sewmini!

For the next four months, Allison and Sewmini will be working with our team on all internal marketing and events initiatives, so keep an eye out for them on our social channels, email, and blog posts!

@Beth Santos and myself have laid down a great foundation for #femalefounders with At The Table. Offering internships allows us to give young aspiring professionals a look inside the #femalefounders world, but it also helps us to stay on our toes. Already these ladies have brought new ideas to the table and help us see our own world in a new and different way.

As we continue to grow it is our hope to build an environment that anyone can learn from anyone. We are excited that our interns not only have a lot to learn from us, but we can learn a lot from them too. Excited to have them join such a dynamic team! Here’s more about our interns below:

Allison Hufford (social media intern) is a rising sophomore at Dartmouth College with an interest in English literature and environmental studies. She has experience working with her high school and college newspapers, literary magazines, and Jewish organizations, and this spring interned as the social media manager of a political action committee. She is so excited to work with #AtTheTable and put some of her social media skills to use! She currently lives in Westchester, New York with her family.

Madusha Sewmini Pieris (program intern) is an aspiring social entrepreneur and international policy maker. A double major in Goverment and Math, she is an ardent advocate for global female entrepreneurial leadership, and is excited to join #AtTheTable to further their mission. Her focus in international development is on empowerment through the reconfiguration of the education system. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, learning new languages and yelling vociferously at British TV show characters, with a healthy dose of Jane Austen marathons.

Welcome, Allison and Sewmini!
