Deya Dimanova

Deya Dimanova is a student from AUBG who says that her personality could be compared either to a house on the beach or a skyscraper in New York. She loves the sea, but at the same time she is a person who loves being around people and the life of a workaholic.

Deya comes from Sofia and is 19 years old. The field which has grabbed her attention the most is Economics, which is going to be her major. One of her dream jobs is a trader on the market. She says “Anything that has to do with stocks and bonds and stuff like that. That’s definitely my area.”

For Deya it is also important for her job to include a lot of traveling. She wants to explore the whole world. She has already visited most countries in Europe and also has been to The USA and plans to visit Australia and some countries in Asia, as well.

Except for traveling, Deya is also passionate about acting. She is participating in a play and has to step into the shoes of an old man. About the role she says “It’s a great challenge and I was very frightened at first, but right now I’m actually enjoying it, because it’s very different.”

Deya admits she is very extroverted and loves spending time with her friends. However, she shares that she had a problem with people bullying her due to her weight when she was younger. She has asthma and as a child had to take pills which increased her appetite. Deya says she hates the fact that, because she is skinny now, the attitude of people towards her is completely changed. She says “I’m not a different person, just because I weigh less.” If she could teach other people on something, it would be not to judge the rest and to have more patience. She also says “I think that if we learn how to compromise, if we learn how to accept each other and support each other, the world would definitely be a better place to live in.”

Deya says that she is not afraid of the future. Her biggest goal is to be happy. She wants to have a good job, to be married with a kid and just to enjoy her life.
