Vesë Neziri is an optimistic and friendly young girl from Ferizaj, Kosovo. She is planning to combine Journalism and Mass Communication and Psychology majors, and she also wants to study Fine Arts as a minor.

She likes the diversity of the programs offered, so she wants to try as much as possible. Now, she has at least two options to concentrate on: to develop her career in the sphere of music, or to become a psychologist and specify in helping people. Her second choice was inspired by the current situation in her home country, Kosovo. As she said, there are no therapists or psychologists in high schools, which makes it a challenge for students to cope with stress. “We need to break the stigma as a country,” she said.

She sings in the Rock Jamming Club and she is also the co-founder of the Latin Dance club. Vesë has been singing since she was five years old. “It plays the key role in my life, I can’t do anything if I can’t sing. If I wake up one day and I am sick and I can’t sing — it’s just going to be a bad day,” said Vesë.

Although she does not sing professionally, her experience and great talent let her win the first place on the AUBG’s Got Talent show. Moreover, Vesë is planning to start a YouTube channel, where she will post cover songs, or maybe even her own compositions. She wants to find her own style and because of that she listens to many artists of different genres — one of her favorite and inspiring ones now is Matt Corby.

Being an artistic person, she likes exploring countries, looking at the views and trying local food. Still, she has a list of specific places she would like to see: Italy, Portugal and Japan — many breathtakingly beautiful views there are worth seeing at least once, so she wants to start traveling as soon as possible.

Next year, she wants to realize her potential, become a member of different clubs and take classes from various fields that interest her.

“I am just getting out of my comfort zone and it is so rewarding in the end, you feel so nice, you make good friends, you try new things, you just become a better you, so try new things! From the earliest point of your life — just do it,” said Vesë, smiling.
