Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’d be surprising if you didn’t know Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation is here to stay. With all the updates and patch notes for the new season, it can be easy to get lost in the shuffle of articles, reddit threads, and even just conversation while playing the game. Take a look at our recap article to really understand Apex Legends this season.

New Character: The Revenant

The Revenant is possibly the most exciting update to come out of Season 4. An offensive focused character by design — with abilities like Stalker, Silence, and Death Totem — Revenant is engineered to make your opposing teams suffer, playing mental games with their support efforts and team dynamics while you sit back and laugh. His ultimate, you ask? He can revive not only his teammates, but also himself.

New Weapon: Sentinel Sniper Rifle

One of the most powerful guns in the game, the Sentinel Sniper is effective from medium to long range. But not only is it a deadly weapon, it possesses power-up abilities as well.

By using a shield battery with the sniper, players can break through any shield. Just make sure to take the few seconds of charging into consideration. Oh, and the EXTREMELY loud VFX for the Sentinel’s gunshot. For a stealth weapon, it could give your location away pretty quickly.

Map Transformations: World’s Edge

The Hammond Robotics harvester has overtaken the map. Use it as a tactical base once you and your squad are down to the final firefight.

Need to escape quickly? Hit the updrafts in the fissure that splits Capitol City. You’ll take 40 damage, but you’ll coast across land, giving you an aerial advantage.

One more tip: visit the weapon racks in the small buildings of Survey Camp — between Epicenter and Skyhook. There are always guaranteed weapons there, but you might be trading out a solid firearm for a premiere drop location.

Adjustments: Bloodhound, Havoc

Bloodhoud’s ability, Beast of the Hunt, allows him to track enemies, regardless of where they are hiding. Originally lasting about 30 seconds, Bloodhound’s new ability increases by 5 seconds whenever you successfully track an enemy and down them. It’s even possible to exceed the starting time with enough enemy downing. See it here.

Havoc, on the other hand, has received quite a downgrade. Now with its Turbocharger removed, as well as a couple other key functions, it’s no longer the weapon of choice — but horizontal recoil has been reduced, making it easier to land a deadly barrage of shots.

Battle Pass Rewards

Over 100 new rewards make the $10 battle pass well worth it. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re already well on your way into grinding for those higher rewards. Check out some of our highlights from this season’s battle pass!
