How to Use Polygon MATIC to Mint a Unique Crypto Fuzzy Audio NFT
When you mint a Crypto Fuzzy on cryptofuzzy.com, you’re getting an audio NFT of a creature that you’ll be able to release into the audio metaverse. Each one has a unique appearance, name, voice and a personality of its own that you can get to know as you explore the audio metaverse and visit your Crypto Fuzzy creature.
The basic process of minting Crypto Fuzzy audio NFT looks like this:
- Set up a Metamask wallet
- Get Polygon MATIC with USD or ETH
- Connect your Metamask wallet at cryptofuzzy.com
- Mint your Crypto Fuzzy!
Setting up a Metamask Wallet
In order to mint a Crypto Fuzzy and eventually sign into Cubemint, you’ll need to have a Metamask wallet that you can connect to cryptofuzzy.com.
First, download the Metamask app at metamask.io. MetaMask has iOS and Android native apps for mobile and Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge browser extensions for desktop.
After you install the Metamask app on your device, select “Create New Account” to set up a new account with a public key, which you’ll use to send and receive ETH and other tokens.
Here’s a long, but important reminder: if you ever lose your Secret Recovery Phase, Metamask or anyone else won’t be able to help you recover your wallet. Do not give your Secret Recovery Phrase or private keys to anyone you don’t want to have total control over your funds. Make sure to store your Secret Recovery Phrase carefully; it’s recommended that you write it down on a piece of paper and hide it in a safe place. Remember, it is the only way to get back access to your funds should your device crash or your browser reset.
Getting MATIC or ETH with USD
If you would rather go straight from US dollar to MATIC, or you need some MATIC for your wallet, there are some exchanges where you can purchase crypto with fiat.
Crypto exchanges like Coinbase, Binance or Kraken are where you can purchase cryptocurrency with fiat and are regulated entities. Much like banks, these exchanges are subject to compliance with legal requirements involving verification of your identity. After signing up for an account, the verification process can take several days, so we recommend getting started early with the account setup process.
After you’ve created your account and get verified, you’ll be able to use funds from your bank account and other payment sources to directly purchase various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon MATIC.
Once you’ve purchased your MATIC, you’ll want to send them to your Metamask wallet to use them to mint a Crypto Fuzzy. Using the Metamask app or browser extension, find the public key for the wallet you want to transfer MATIC to.
Now go to your account on the exchange you’ve purchased MATIC on and transfer to the Metamask wallet you’ll be using. From there, just enter the address on the account you’ll be transferring from. Confirm that the address is correct and then start the transfer, which will take a few minutes, depending on which transfer speed you select (which depends on how much in fees you pay).
Getting MATIC with ETH
Getting MATIC for your wallet can be done right on the Metamask app.
First, open up the account with the ETH stored that you want to swap to MATIC.
Tap on the ‘Swap’ button and search for MATIC for the “Swap to” field.
After you’ve selected Polygon MATIC as the token you want to swap for, enter the amount of ETH you want to exchange. Just keep in mind that there are fees involved in a swap transaction, so make sure you have enough ETH to cover the MATIC you need, the gas fee and any fees that the platform charges.
Minting a Crypto Fuzzy
After you’ve transferred your MATIC to your Metamask wallet, go to cryptofuzzy.com where you’ll see two options for minting a Crypto Fuzzy: using MATIC or JPYC. Connect your Metamask wallet by clicking on ‘Connect’ at the top of the screen. Then choose which token you want to use to mint your Crypto Fuzzy and that’s it! You’ll see a confirmation message with the Crypto Fuzzy’s name and image shown and the NFT will be sent to your wallet. That’s it, you now have your very own unique Crypto Fuzzy audio NFT creature to release into the audio metaverse!
