Augmentors Development Update, March 22 2019.
Hey guys, in today’s update I give you a taste of what we’ve been working on and give you a little more insight on the direction we’re heading in. Enjoy!
Multiple creatures in battle
In our first sprint of this new version of Augmentors, we’ve played around with having multiple creatures on each player’s team and we’ve landed on having four a side. This has already greatly improved the AR experience — have a look at the screenshot below that shows an example of two opposing teams:
We’re busy testing the turn based mechanics that we implemented in our last sprint. Each creature will have a varying amount speed, which determines which creature gets to go first in battle, and how often it gets a turn; we’ll go into more detail on this in our next update.
We’ve also implemented targeting, which means that you can target specific creatures when it’s your turn to attack. All of this immediately creates more strategy and depth to the game.
This week we’re working on unique creature abilities and stats, which we’ll share with you once it’s all been finalized.
