Brand new creature reveal, ICO creature sneak peek and Shield VFX update- Community update — Friday November 23, 2018
Hey guys! In this week’s update, I go through some changes in the shield VFX that will be in the next deployment, available in the app stores by Tuesday, November 27. We also reveal a brand new creature and give you another sneak peek of an ICO creature. Enjoy!
Welcome to the Bello Realm, Galaghos!
Here’s a never-before seen creature that is included in next week’s release. You’ll stand a chance of getting him when you purchase either a Tanzanite, Amethyst or Amber Portal in the Store. You can see what you get in each portal here.
Galaghos dwells within the swamplands of the Bog Marsh region. He is powerful and the other Augmentors know his strength and recognize his danger. Galaghos is capable of spewing venom that can harm the strongest of warriors, which is why Dark Rhule invited him to join the Shadowmentors as part of his plan to take down Gobi.
Galaghos rejected Dark Rhule’s promise of power and wanted no wars in his land. This did not sit well with Dark Rhule, and so started a vicious rivalry.
With whom will you side? Train Galaghos as a Shadowmentor in a bid to take down Gobi, or as an Augmentor to protect Bog Marsh?
Galaghos is a Legendary Creature and has a maximum token supply of 187. His starting stats are:
Health: 550
Mana: 2.1
Defense: 250
Attack: 140

Sneak-Peek: Serene
We are sharing another sneak-peek to help token holders decide on which creatures they want in the upcoming creature token swap. For those who missed our previous sneak-peaks, you can see Galaxia, Axel and Sledgewood here; and Headeron here.
Serene is not your regular Augmentor, she is, in fact, the result of a very powerful healing spell created by Gobi.
Gobi created a spell to heal the Augmentors who were unfortunate enough to suffer the wrath of Dark Rhule. In creating a spell powerful enough to do so, Gobi created an intelligent, although elemental, entity — she referred to herself as Serene. In an inexplicably calm and soothing voice, Serene declared that she was there to always take care of those in need.
Proud of his creation, Gobi commissioned the Tinker of the Copper Towers to create a suit of armor worthy of her unique personality and powers. Once Serene was in her armor, she was filled with incredible gratitude and swore that she would spend the rest of her days healing the Augmentors on the battlefield and fight off those who tried to harm them.
Serene is a Legendary creature, identified by her distinctive armor, and has a maximum token supply of 160. Her starting stats are:
Health: 550
Mana: 2.1
Defense: 150
Attack: 200

Shield VFX Update
We’ve made some updates to the visual effects of some of the shields based on community feedback on a previous version (1.0.5). In that version we implemented a whole new VFX pack to increase optimization, some of the new defense spell effects were quite intrusive from a player perspective and made it difficult for players to see what was happening in battle.
Now, these shields are more transparent, to make sure that players will be able to see their creatures more clearly and that creatures are less distorted when a shield is up. We’ll also be making a few other changes to the shield VFX in the next few builds so keep an eye out! Check out some previews below!
