Hey Guys!

In this week’s update I’ll be giving you insight into the development of the game over the last two weeks!

As discussed in our updated roadmap, we have incorporated a lot of exciting new features based on the Token Holder Alpha feedback. This week, we would like to share what the team is currently working on and how it works in the game.

For some context, development updates are posted every second week as our Development runs in 2 week Sprints, meaning that we can give you meaningful updates after every Sprint. I hope you enjoy the read!

Improved Matchmaking

In my last development update I covered the “Honor” system and how it works, as well as all the different leagues and arenas available. We have now also used the Honor system to improve battle matchmaking. (If you haven’t read my previous post, I recommend doing so now).

This is how it works:

A player will choose to battle in a specific arena, and will only be matched to other players in that arena. In addition, we’re also taking into account the levels of the Creatures, meaning you will be equally matched based on the level of your Creature.

If you are unable to match with an opponent with a Creature of the same level as yours, then we will match you with a Creature to the closest level; on the other hand, if there are multiple Creatures that meet this criteria, then you will be matched with a player that has a similar amount of honor as you.

Store Implementation

We’ve been working hard on our Store, which will showcase all creatures, relics, cards, skins, gold and emeralds for purchase. This means that you will be able to level-up and customize your creature swiftly and easily.

We’re also currently implementing the various store access levels on the back-end. Other than the default access, there will also be a Premium and Partnership access which will only be available to those who purchased access to these in the Token Sale.

Reward Portals

We’re very excited about the development of our Reward Portals! After every winning battle, a Portal will begin to open, in these Portals will be various rewards such as extra cards and gold which players can use to level up Creatures and advance in the game.

A player can hold four Reward Portals at any given time, but each Portal will take varying amounts of time to open, depending on their rarity. Only one Rewards Portal can be counting down at a time, and once the first Reward Portal is open, the next one will begin counting down to open.

There will be the option to pay to bypass the timer for those players wanting to level up their Creatures immediately.

We’re excited about these developments and can’t wait for you to experience them in Alpha! For those who missed Token Holder Alpha make sure you sign up for Alpha today!
