We are thrilled to announce the Aura Network, a peer-to-peer blockchain protocol designed to support interaction intensive video games and virtual worlds.
🏗 Why are we building Aura?
Aura is a blockchain protocol optimized to create and sustain decentralized game and virtual worlds. Our game world architecture will ultimately scale to billions of simultaneous users, engendering trust in asset ownership and exchange, allowing for easy deployment and maintenance of game and virtual worlds, and fostering the massive digital economies within them.
As avid gamers ourselves, we see the future of gaming as being a more inclusive and flexible process wherein multiple developers and players collaborate to create ever-changing environments with a multitude of games and goals within them.
Aura will allow for developers and players to rapidly develop and deploy game worlds and customized content within them. The tools we are building will help developers to quickly start working with blockchain tech in an intuitive way. In the near future, thanks to Aura’s scaling architecture, gamers will be able to build, play, share, monetize, collaborate, and trade within game and virtual worlds.
✍️ How do we plan to use our Medium?
Over the next few weeks, we will be using our Medium to go into more detail about the Aura protocol, gameplay innovations, and creator tools we will be building. We’ll also be introducing our team, investors, and partners. We aim to keep these concise and frequent, so be sure to follow our publication for updates!
