How to bridge tokens to Polygon Network
Learning how to bridge your asset token from ethereum chain to polygon chain
Using Polygon Bridge (Official from Polygon)
Caution: Before using polygon bridge please make sure URL website link is wallet.polygon.technology if is not beware of any phishing or scamming website
1.Go to wallet.polygon.technology
2. Click on Polygon Bridge if you are not logged in you might have to login with your wallet polygon bridge can using: Metamask , Coinbase Wallet , Bitski Wallet , Venly , WalletConnect in this tutorial, we are using Metamask wallet
3. After you logged in you can use Polygon Bridge
Good to know: Plasma bridge takes ~3 Hours to withdraw using Plasma exit mechanism and supports only ETH, ERC20 and ERC721
PoS Bridge takes approximately 3 hours to withdraw using PoS Security. It supports ETH, ERC20, ERC721 and other type as well. *If PoS Bridge is supporting your token do you need to bridge we recommended to use PoS Bridge
4. Deposit or Withdraw by Polygon Bridge
Good to know: Deposit Bridge is depositing from Another chain to Polygon Chain Withdraw Bridge is withdrawing from Polygon Chain to Another Chain
For Example, I need to deposit ETH on Ethereum Chain to ETH on Polygon Chain
Important: Before taking any action on any platform Please check the details carefully before proceeding. For your safety, to bridge you need to verify the chain you wish to bridge to the polygon and verify the token is correct.
After clicking Transfer you can see the Important Pop-up Read it carefully before your click Continue
After clicking continue you can see Transfer Overview Pop-up Read it carefully before your click continue
After clicking continue you can see Confirm Transfer Pop-up Read it carefully before your click continue
After clicking continue your MetaMask Notification will pop up to confirm your transaction
After confirming on MetaMask Notification you will see Transaction is in progress
After waiting for a minute, you will see Transaction en route.
After waiting for some time, your Transfer is Completed you will see your balance in your wallet on Polygon Chain
