Aurigami Revamped — Faster, Sleeker, Sexier

Aurigami’s North Star has always been to become the leading liquidity aggregator on Aurora, all while capitalizing on the superior infrastructure of our ecosystem to democratize the access to #DeFi. After all, Aurora has proven itself to be one of the, if not the cheapest, fastest and most user-friendly blockchain. At Aurigami, we strive to make #DeFi fun and interesting, exploring novel, gamification features to bring our services to the masses.

Our initial brand and visual aspects reflected this, but we were in the earlier stages of development still and as with most things, we see room for improvements.

Today, we are proud to reveal a revamped Aurigami — complete with a new yet familiar logo, and a fresh new approach towards our brand concept, which extends to both our landing page and app.

Aurigami is now faster, sleeker and just that little bit sexier too 😉

Purpose of the Rebrand

We love Aurigami, and we love the unique design that we had, but we also recognize the need for a visual update to help Aurigami become even more unique, up-to-date and versatile. Our rebrand comes with a fully customized set of brand colours, with unique brand elements and materials. The core of our brand concept will still revolve around Aurigami’s beloved paper concept, with also a revamp to our logo to help better align with our ambitions for the road.

The Visual Concept

Aurigami is still well…origami. Overall, the design is still sticking close to the original concept — but with a slight tweak and twist to make it much more futuristic, clean and modern.

For the design nerds out there, our new design adopts Neomorphism in certain areas to provide a paper embossing effect, with cards that pop more visually to appear less flat and much more futuristic. Visually, these changes help to make Aurigami appear much more vibrant and paper-like. The green and mascot, Aurisprout (which we will talk about more later) represent growth, hope and progress for the years to come.

Thank to all these, the Aurigami app is also much more intuitive and easy to navigate now. There’s minimal usage of dialogs, heavy scrolling and panning to ensure efficiency while you’re browsing for pools to ape into.

Market page is also all within a single page now without compromises on legibility or date — perfect for you to make an informed decision while getting the most out of your assets.

The Logo Revamp

It’s still the same beloved flying Aurigami paper but with a slight twist!

Aurigami has been flipped from left to right. To fly forward is to progress and improve, and that is that we want our logo to encapsulate. The green colour tone has also been tweaked to become purer, brighter, and glowier, a sign of what’s to come for the future 😉

Aurisprout

Last but certainly not least, Aurisprout!

Inspired by BMO from Adventure Time, this little humanoid sprout here is the very symbol of growth, and is quite an expressive little one complete with a wide range of facial features, which we will get to see more in the future!

2023 will be the the year of Near and #DeFi. Last year hasn’t been the easiest for us all, but the team is still hard at work to deliver progress and position ourselves for the future. We want our brand to be aligned with us in this, and the first of many steps to come is this.
