Former NYMEX Chairman Richard Schaeffer Joins Aurora (IDEX) Advisory Board

We are pleased to announce the addition of fintech pioneer Richard Schaeffer to our advisory board. As IDEX and the rest of the Aurora project continues to grow, Schaeffer will bring decades of financial experience and industry connections to the table, playing a pivotal role in helping us bridge old and new financial technologies on the blockchain.
About Richard Schaeffer
Richard Schaeffer is the founder and executive chairman of Liquid Holdings Group, a provider of trade execution and back-office systems for active and institutional asset managers.
Richard is also the former chairman of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. and of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. As chairman, he spearheaded the exchange’s transformation to an electronic trading platform, along with its listing and IPO on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and eventual sale to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in 2008. Richard also served as chairman of the board of the NYMEX Charitable Foundation during his tenure with the exchange. He has previously served on the boards of Sacred Heart University and The University Of Maryland’s School of Business.
