Are you curious to know what words came to life in the past year? Here are some of my favourites that made the list for 2023.
angry water
noun Colloquial (humorous) carbonated water. Not sure why the water is angry, but there it is!
cozzie livs
(say kozee ‘livz) noun Colloquial cost of living. Cost of living has been high up in the news these past couple of years, and it’s only getting worse. Of course, we Aussies love to shorten terms so cozzie livs makes perfect sense.
scrotox
noun Colloquial a botox preparation for the scrotum, especially as used for cosmetic purposes to make the skin appear less wrinkled, and to reduce sweating. [The word is a blend of BOTOX and SCROTUM].
