Using Medium like Twitter

As Twitter looks at rolling out longer tweets, it made me realize how much Medium is becoming like Twitter (or what Twitter should be).

What would it take to use Medium almost exactly like you use Twitter? Really just letting the confidence to let a post be shorter, not burying the lede, and a chronological, updating feed.
