Still from PARASITE.

The Austin Film Critics Association (AFCA) announced its 2019 awards nominations today.

Parasite leads the nominations with eight — including Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Ensemble. (update: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has one more nomination than Parasite, with nine — including Best Stunts and Best Cinematography).

Other Best Film nominees are The Irishman, Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Uncut Gems.

And no, you’re not seeing double, Will Smith is nominated for two different motion-capture/special effects performances this year: Aladdin and (fittingly) Gemini Man!
