With the hellish onslaught of unending 100+ degrees finally, possibly, somewhat behind us, I went for a bike ride up the trail the other day and was pleasantly surprised along the way. Took it all the way to the end and then headed up Decker Ln. — which now has a huge shoulder to 290 — and took the 290 bike path back into town.

Anywho, I saw that they’re putting a pedestrian/bike crossing signal in on Johnny Morris Rd, which is exciting, though none on Decker Ln, and there was a sweet little underpass at Walnut Creek under 290 that I can only imagine may be some future spur of the bike path. Check out the pics:

The new crossing, not yet functional, at Johnny Morris Rd.
Nice, bit shoulder on Decker Ln. to 290 which has…
…a big ol’ bike path.
And creek access.
