Mayor Adler has found a new answer to my question, “How Do You Fund a Bond Campaign?” His answer: You fund it with taxpayer dollars! I received an email with links to a just-launched city web page, was told how to find informational brochures throughout the city, and given the name and email address of a city employee who will present the web page content upon request. Google was not fooled, however, and here I must digress in case you don’t have a gmail account.

Google presently has three default tabs to sort your email, shown below.

Rightly known for the sophistication of its algorithms, I personally have never known Google to make an error in sorting my email. In the case of the email I received from the city last evening, it was correctly placed under the “Promotions” tab. You can see it in second place along with various other marketing efforts.

Moments later, I also received from the city (Remember, this is happening on a national holiday.) an email notification of a post on Nextdoor which Google also correctly sorted, putting it under the “Social” tab. Clicking through to the Nextdoor website to see the post in its entirety, I found this disclaimer at the bottom.

The link to the newly launched city web page is the same, and I will read through it more carefully later today. Cursory reading reveals that the information in my first four blog posts about Mayor Adler’s Go Big Corridor Plan is not included, however, so I have placed those links below, in chronological order. A city employee, Sara Behunek, will be giving 2016 Mobility Bond (aka Mayor Adler’s Go Big Corridor Plan) presentations upon request. I hope to attend one if only to see if she includes any of the facts I have gathered.
