A Celebration of the Beautiful Game: First Match Watch Party for Austin FC

April 17th: Austin FC vs LAFC. The inaugural season begins with a watch party event for Austin FC’s first-ever MLS match!

“A Celebration of the Beautiful Game.” This has traditionally been the name of our fist major event of the year. In the past, it was bringing people together to celebrate the sport we love while we waited for our team to take the pitch. This year, we’re celebrating the first time Austin FC will take the pitch in a regular-season MLS competition.

The boys in verde will be on the first stop of a multi-month road-trip ahead of their home opener in June. Home or away, Austin Anthem will be out supporting our club. To kick off the season, we’ve found the perfect partners who share our passion to help throw a pretty epic event.

Austin Anthem, Circle Brewing Co., Huckleberry, and Waterloo Sparkling Water will be hosting a watch party on Saturday, April 17th starting at 11am. The event will go into the evening, so it’s actually more like an all-day party. The shindig will be at Circle Brewing Co. It’s just down the road from Q2 Stadium. You can literally see it from the parking lot. The club’s watch party at the Long Center ran out of RSVP’s in minutes; don’t miss out on this event. RSVP right now!

We’ll be announcing more details as we get closer to the first match, but here’s the big stuff:

• 11am: Event opens with perks for being the early grackles
• 4:30pm: Austin FC vs LAFC. We’ll have multiple screens and audio throughout the venue
• 7:30pm: DJ Pagame with music to help us celebrate our club’s first win
• …and more.

Some of the things you can expect.

• Lots of songs, chanting, and cheering from the supporters who helped make the team a reality
• $3 Austin Anthem Ale Cans. Yeah, we have our own beer.
• A limited-edition glass plus 3 beer tokens for $20
• Free Waterloo Sparkling Water. Have you tried the new Pineapple flavor? So Good!
• Special Match Day food menu from Huckleberry
• Activities for all ages. This will be a family-friendly event.

We’re going to have all of this outside, with social-distancing in place, and masks required. Safety-first so we can fill Q2 Stadium to capacity in June.
