Austin Anthem 2020 Memberships Now Available
2019 was a big year for us. It started in January with the Austin FC official “Welcome to MLS” announcement and it will wrap-up with our annual holiday party supporting Toys for Tots in December. In between all of that, our membership continued its rapid growth and we hosted more events than ever before. Members also had exclusive access to team events like the franchise launch, early access to make season-ticket deposits, and the opportunity for a private tour of the Austin FC Experience Center before it opened to the public.
We have even more in store for 2020, our last year before Austin FC kicks a ball, and we have exponentially more planned for our first season in 2021. All of those plans require your support by way of your spirit, your time and involvement, and some of your hard-earned money. That last bit comes in the form of your annual membership kit and merchandise sales.You get sweet merch to brag about, and we put the proceeds into powering the SG, like buying equipment we’ll need for our gorgeous new supporter section. Think instruments, tifo, paint, bail money — the usual stuff. It’s a win-win for everyone!
We are happy to announce that Austin Anthem memberships and renewals for 2020 are now available.
For $40, a 2020 Austin Anthem Supporter Membership will get you the following:
- One 3x5 Flag with a pole sleeve in either black, violet crown, or limited-edition bright verde. Great for the front porch, your office, or to wave on match day.
- One 2020 limited-edition, commemorative pin. This year’s pin is the grackle with the year engraved on the back.
- One 6” white zanate decal. Perfect for laptop lids, coolers, and car windows
- Newsletter Subscription
- Priority invitations to meet-ups and other supporters group events
- Exclusive access to supporter and club events and resources. Early access to information and offers. (Availability and frequency varies from year-to-year)
Note: Kits begin shipping at the end of November 2019 in the order they were purchased.
Our goal is to be the most inclusive SG in all of soccer, so we want everyone to support with us however they can. Our free membership tier will continue, this includes:

- Announcements and invitations to meet-ups and other supporters group functions
Some have you have been with us from the beginning. Some of you joined this month. Either way, this next part is important:
Current members who do not renew for 2020 by 12/31/2019, will be removed from our active membership lists and will stop getting newsletters.
You can always sign-up again later, but will miss out on info and opportunities in the meantime. We’re already looking ahead to events in January and SXSW in March where we may need to go to a “seniority gets priority” system due to limited capacity. Renew before 12/31 and your “member since” date is maintained. Lapse and you may have to start over.
We also have a new and improved sign-up and renewal system for memberships.
- No more two-step process with a sign-up on the Austin Anthem website, then a membership kit purchase at our Supporter Store.
- You’ll now have a profile page to keep your interests, address, and other information up-to-date.
- We now have chapter affiliations. If you want to connect with one of our growing chapters in your area, you can opt-in to join the local flock.
- We have made a number of information updates and will continue to make improvements to our profile data to be more helpful in planning and more inclusive for all of our members.
Current members will receive an email with instructions on how to login for the first time. Please don’t set your password to “password” when the time comes.
