It’s springtime in Austin, which means it’s time to get out and enjoy the city with your soccer-loving friends and family prior to the heat of the summer. Your team at Austin Anthem has a busy spring planned, including a huge party during the city’s biggest event of the year (which will remain unnamed for copyright reasons). Here’s the 4–1–1 on what we have in store:
Austin Anthem Celebrates “The Beautiful Game”
Austin Anthem, the official Supporters Group for Austin FC, is hosting an all-day international celebration of the game at Rustic Tap (616 West Sixth Street), from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.
A full day of festivities kicks-off with screenings of all live Premier League matches in the morning and MLS matches in the afternoon.
Our afternoon will showcase MLS Soccer matches within an installation the melds the two things Austin is now synonymous for — music and soccer together.
Very special guests, club-related merchandise, panels, prizes, and other soccer-related activities will take place throughout the day.
Come one, come all who love the Game to help us “Grow the Legend” in support of Austin’s first major professional sports franchise at the preeminent soccer destination in the heart of downtown during another small local festival on March 9.

MLS First Kick
The final MLS season before stadium construction at McKalla Place begins will kick off on March 2. In response to requests from members, we’re headed down south to watch some games together and have a little soccer fun, as we all get to know the league a little better. The party will start at 3 p.m., and we’ll be watching the 3:30 and 5:00 games there.

Lady Birds Meetup
The Lady Birds of Austin Anthem welcome female supporters to learn about what Austin Anthem is doing and how you can join other women in supporting Austin FC. Head on over to Oskar Blues at 6 p.m. on February 27 to learn about everything the the group has in store for 2019 and beyond.
