Honoring Dr. King
Austin Anthem members spent the weekend honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Several team members joined Austin FC for United Way for Greater Austin’s MLK Day of Service. Others attended the MLK March and Rally in downtown Austin.
One Year Anniversary Party
Austin FC threw a party on January 15 celebrating the first anniversary of the franchise launch and shared several event photos on Twitter.
Stadium and Ticket News
Our own Phil West interviewed Andy Loughnane before the anniversary party to discuss the impressive demand for tickets. He also talked to Claudio Reyna and Josh Wolff about their plans to build the roster.
As premium deposit makers have begun selecting their seats, CapCitySoccer and others are sharing some of the 3D stadium views available through the SeatGeek website.

Alexi Lalas Interview
Landon interviewed Alexi Lalas to help commemorate the first anniversary of the official Austin FC announcement. The interview covered a wide range of topics, from the launch event to the need for the club to succeed in the first year to the uniqueness of American soccer culture.
Zanate Musical Collective
Zanate Musical Collective has been front and center at several recent events. Anyone interested in joining can fill out this quick form or email murga@austinanthem.org, regardless of their musical skill level. Even if you have no musical talent, you can keep up with ZMC on Twitter and Instagram.
Painting With a Twist
Anyone interested in painting their very own grackle image, or just having a couple cocktails with friends while watching people paint is invited to join us at Painting With a Twist on February 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $38 and include a 16 x 20 canvas to paint and all the related supplies.
