I’m incredibly excited to announce that Authereum V1 is now live! You can check out the brand new Authereum.

We’ve doubled down on security and have streamlined the entire experience. Managing your digital assets, interacting with decentralized applications, and being your own bank has never been so easy, so accessible, and so secure.

The new Authereum wallet interface

When we set out to build Authereum a little over a year ago, our goal was simple: Build a wallet that “just works” but doesn’t compromise on custodianship or security to get there. We think this release is a huge step towards this goal and we couldn’t be more excited to get it into your hands.

Security

As a wallet, security is always our number one priority and our entire system was built with this in mind. We sought out some of the top Ethereum wallet security experts in the world to ensure that you and only you can access your funds.

  • Cure53 audit — Cure53 is a leading expert in blockchain security with deep knowledge of key management and crypto-wallet systems. They’ve been trusted to review some of most widely used wallets since Ethereum’s inception including Mist, MetaMask, and MyCrypto. They did an in-depth review of both our backend and frontend codebases which can be found here.
  • g0 Group audit — g0 Group is a Berlin-based auditing group that has been trusted to audit some of the most widely used contract-based accounts including GnosisSafe and Argent. Not only do they have deep smart contract security knowledge, they intimately understand the risks and potential pitfalls associated with contract-based account systems like our own. You can find their review of our smart contracts here. This is the second of the Authereum smart contracts and the previous audit by Quantstamp can be found here.

We’ve also built out a new account recovery system to ensure that you always have access to your funds, even if you forget your password. Add any of your current Ethereum wallets to act as a backup for your Authereum account or use your email as a backup with a 24 hour delay.

Simplicity

We’ve completely overhauled the Authereum interface with simplicity in mind. After a year of working closely with users to understand what matters to you most, we believe we’re one step closer to a wallet that “just works”. We put a huge amount of effort into showing you just the information you care about without all of the noise. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

Moving Forward

With our first non-beta release now behind us, we’re just getting started on our mission to get Ethereum applications into the hands of the masses. Since we got started, we’ve seen an explosion of DeFi applications on Ethereum. Moving forward, you can expect more DeFi integrations, better asset and DeFi position tracking so that you can analyze your investments as easily as you can make them.

This DeFi explosion has also led to all time high transaction fees on layer-1 Ethereum. We strongly in believe that the new internet should be for everyone, not just the highest bidders. We’re pushing hard on our layer-2 efforts and are working with a number of talented teams to get decentralized applications into the hands of everyone. We’ll have more news on this front soon.

Try it out now!

If you haven’t tried Authereum, there’s never been a better time than now. Sign up and log into any of our many integrations including:
