As a part of our series about pop culture’s rising stars, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Yvonne Zima. Yvonne is the granddaughter of one woman who won the lottery and another who got struck by lightning while doing the dishes, so you might say she’s pretty lucky. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of starring in action movies and achieved it when she was just five years old. She was most recently a writer on HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death produced by Taika Waititi, and HBO submitted the episode she penned for Emmy consideration. Additionally, Yvonne sold a TV show to Netflix with Meghan Markle and Harry’s production company Archewell.
