Be careful hiring close friends. We have a cult-like quality at Inflectra, and a lot of people have been hired from friend circles, my old boy scout troop, neighbors, and other friends of friends. It’s generally a great way to build a close-knit culture, but it does mean it changes the relationship with them and it won’t be the same as before.

As a part of our series called ‘Five Things I Wish Someone Told Me Before I Became A CEO’ we had the pleasure of interviewing Adam Sandman.

Adam Sandman, who founded Inflectra in 2006, has been a programmer since the age of 10. Today, Adam serves as the company’s CEO. He is responsible for product strategy, technology innovation, and business development.

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Before we dig in, our readers would like to get to know you a bit more. Can you tell us a bit about your “backstory”? What led you to this particular career path?
