Journaling is a powerful tool for healing in general, as it helps you process and release thoughts and feelings. This is helpful for keeping stress and anxiety levels at bay — both necessary to feel more calm!

Journaling is a powerful tool to gain clarity and insight especially during challenging times of loss and uncertainty. Writing can cultivate a deeper connection with yourself and provide an outlet for calmness, resilience and mindfulness. When my mom passed on, I found writing to be cathartic. When I read through my journal years later, there were thoughts that I developed into poems, and others that simply provided a deeper insight into myself. In this series I’m speaking with people who use journaling to become more mindful and resilient.

As a part of this series I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Allie Mirosevic.

Allie Mirosevic is the founder of Bliss’d — a self-care company that creates easy-to-use journals and shares approachable self-care tips to help moms live more joyful, connected and fulfilling lives. Allie discovered her love for journaling in 2019 after the birth of her son, when she experienced postpartum depression. Alongside medicine and therapy, journaling became a helpful tool to get through it — and the practice stuck long after the medicine finished! However, she couldn’t find an easy-to-use, inspirational 5-minute journal that could be used at any time of day (which is so important for a mom!) so she decided to create one — Bliss’d debut Anytime Reflection Journal! Allie also has two additional journals in the works. When not journaling or working on building Bliss’d, Allie is (happily) busy with her two toddlers and husband exploring LA.
