… Slow Down. Do not rush your jokes, no matter what. I had to learn that just because a television show only gives you three or four minutes to do your act, it doesn’t mean that you try to cram a six-minute set into four minutes. Do two or three bits and don’t rush. You will sound rushed if you do, and it will come across as you’re nervous, green, and unprofessional.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Alycia Cooper. It’s as if Alycia Cooper was born with a mic in her hand, and she’s been putting it to good use ever since as she’s done the rounds and perfected her signature brand of humor in dimly lit comedy clubs nationwide. Along the way, this comedy chameleon has made multiple television appearances alongside some of the biggest names in the business in sitcoms and on network television comedy specials.
