Employers should focus on balancing and making reasonable the amount of day-to-day instantaneous happiness that their employees are experiencing, but also, it’s work. It is impossible to force everyone to always have fun while they are working. Working is fundamentally hard, which is why it is work. Whereas on the flip side, you can still make people feel that work has value and is creating valuable progress for them, their company, and their society, without having to make it a pizza party every single day.
