Define what ‘success’ looks like. This always has to be the first step: understanding what you are trying to achieve. In this case, you need to understand what being a ‘thought leader’ requires and entails; your specific objectives for why you want to be a thought leader and the opportunities that you’re hoping to create for yourself. For me, thought leadership provides me with personal fulfillment as I strive always to learn more and get better, while it also allows me to reach more people with what I believe is a very important message.
