… As a farmer, you work in partnership with nature, and nature doesn’t always work on your schedule. You have to be willing to start early or stay late to finish a field while the weather allows.

Modern farming is actually very different from common conceptions. Farming today is dramatically different from the farming done a few decades ago. In this interview series called The Future Of Modern American Farming, we are exploring the modern technological changes that American farms have been making. We are also exploring how farmers are adjusting to the supply chain challenges, the challenges of climate change, and the challenges of sustainable farming.

As a part of this series, we had the pleasure of interviewing Bryce Lundberg.

Bryce Lundberg is a board member and Vice President of Agriculture at Lundberg Family Farms, a fourth-generation family business that uses organic farming practices to create thoughtfully crafted rice and quinoa products. Bryce is also a third-generation rice farmer and serves as chair of the Northern California Water Association
