CSI: Vegas’ Eric Szmanda On The Five Things You Need To Shine In The Entertainment Industry
… Besides the theme song, it’s gotta be, in part, because of people’s obsession with solving crimes and catching the bad guys. Fortunately, our show came along at just the right time with the perfect cast and creative team who were able to capture that lightning in a bottle, as we like to call it.
As a part of our series about pop culture’s rising stars, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Eric Szmanda. Eric is best known for his role as forensic investigator ‘Greg Sanders’ on CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. Born and raised in Wisconsin where he was active in school plays and community theater, Szmanda moved to Los Angeles at the age of nineteen to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. While in school, Eric began a marketing internship in the music business and, after graduating, he moved to Chicago to work for the company full time.
Eric eventually returned to Los Angeles and landed the role of ‘Greg Sanders’ on CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION in 2000. While originally cast as a recurring character, he became a series regular in season 3. Szmanda…
