Editor’s List: Authority Magazine’s Favorite ‘Five Things Videos’ About 5 Ways That Businesses Can Help Promote The Mental Wellness Of Their Employees

Times are not easy and there has been a huge surge in employee burnout. This has been manifest in the Great Resignation. To address this, some companies have pivoted to try to address the mental health and wellness of their employees. Authority Magazine started a series called “How Businesses Are Helping To Promote The Mental Wellness Of Their Employees”. We spoke to business leaders, CEOs and executives who lead companies that are helping to address the mental wellness of their employees.

Kim LaMontagne, Kim Lamontagne, LLC

Kim LaMontagne is President/CEO of Kim LaMontagne, LLC. LaMontagne is an international speaker, corporate trainer, and author. She is also a state trainer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and a member of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock — Campaign to Combat Behavioral Health Stigma and Discrimination. She created a training solution for leaders called, ‘The 4 Pillars of Creating and Sustaining a Mentally Healthy Workplace Culture” that teaches leaders how to create a safe workplace culture that empowers employees to speak openly about mental health and substance misuse without fear of judgment, retribution, or job loss. Her mission is to share her lived experience and teach leaders how to normalize the conversation about mental health and substance misuse in the workplace. Lives depend on it.

Deborah Mallow, The Daily Decisions

Deborah Mallow, a born and bred New Yorker is no stranger to best practices when it comes to fostering employee engagement and promoting well-being in the workplace. First as president of Deborah Mallow Designs, her home furnishing and gifts licensing company in the 1980’s and 90’s, then as a pharmaceutical rep for 17 years at one of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, achieving chairman’s club elite status, she now uses her strengths and empathy as a mindset and success coach helping others get unstuck by sharing strategies, solutions and action items to live a happier, healthier more balanced life. Billy Parish, Mosaic

Courtney Billington, Janssen Neuroscience

Courtney Billington is president of Janssen Neuroscience, where he leads the business in providing innovative treatments and services for adults living with serious mental illness and neurodegenerative diseases. Over the course of Courtney’s 30-year career with Johnson & Johnson (J&J), he has held globally diverse, strategic leadership roles within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device sectors. He began his career as a Quartermaster Officer in the United States Army and retired honorably after serving with the 18th Airborne Corps at Fort Campbell, KY, and in Operation Desert Storm.
